A small but flourishing oasis in the middle of Northern Alentejo plain. Freshness and beauty are combined with the spa gentle, calm and homelike atmosphere.
The spa has been used since the Roman occupation, as the remains of an old spa from the time of César Augusto (119 b.c.), located close to the small dammed river, may prove. You can find a hyposaline sulphurous and oxydrilated water abundant in chloride ions, sodium, calcium and a considerable level of silica. This water is suitable for balneotherapy and drinking, to treat osteoarticular diseases (rheumatism), respiratory diseases (asthma, bronchitis, sinusitis, rhinitis) and skin diseases.
